Sri Lanka were bowled out for 165 made to follow on and bowled out again for 247 leaving Australia winners by 242 runs.

Batting wise Phil Salt impressed with 55 off 23 balls, but Duckett's golden duck led the way for the rest. India win the series 4-1.
On to the ODI's which start in Nagpur on Thursday, which is also the 1st day of the 2nd Test between Sri Lanka & Australia.

Once again I'm getting very tired by the hysterical Talksport commentary. Whenever anything moderately exciting happens (boundary, wicket) the commentator screams his head off, making it almost impossible to tell what's happened. By the time they've calmed down to a listenable level, the action has moved on. I keep the BBC text feed open to find out what's just occurred.

I agree with you, it's dreadful, I have the same frustration - what happened? I don't care that it was "brilliant" or "remarkable", I'd rather know that the catch was taken at third slip first.

But it's the new way of things I fear. Sky "commentary" from South Africa is all shouty people, with at least the advantage that I can see for myself what happened. Richie Benaud is rolling in his grave!

Since this is a cricket related sub forum, what do you folks think of Len Hutton? His career, dismayed at the top by a world war, he still proceeded to be an extremely successful English batsman. Do you think if the war hadn't ravaged him in his top form, he could have come out as the greatest batsman from this country, ahead of even giants like Wally Hammonds or W G Grace? [Funny thing is if you search greatest english batsman on Google, the new Google AI experimental preview thing just lists Joe Root as the answer as if there was an objective answer to this question].

It is very shouty, and there is a distinct lack of score updates. The BBC are at pretty good at mentioning the score, whether it be TMS or the local county commentaries.

I don't mind Bumble, he knows his stuff and is prepared to discuss stuff. The ones I can't be doing with regardless of station are the arrogant ones like Vaughan and Pietersen.
