Worcestershire lost yesterday by 8 wickets to Essex (being bowled out for 102 first innings didn't help) which means that, unless there are some mathematical improbabilities, they have blown their chance of going up this season.
Somerset must surely be wondering what might have happened if they hadn't bowled 38 extras in the final innings...
So what are people predictions for the drop from Division One? Derbyshire are mounting quite the survival campaign, Surrey seem to be sinking out of sight whilst Somerset and Notts aren't all that healthy either.

England made a right mess at Old Trafford, we should've batted first, but Australia went to town with our rather inexperienced bowling attack, then we ended up with far too many runs to get, Carberry, Trott & Root were useless.
What names should be on the team sheet for the next match?

Luke Wright in for a batsman (which will prob be Carberry) or if not Wright then another bowler as we was a bowler light today
Wright for Stokes perhaps? He seems to be continuing to strugle to make the leap to international cricket.

Let us not forget that these bowlers are supposedly top level professional sportsmen who perform at County Cricket level....not just some "weekend-only" trundlers turning out for their village team.
Is this a reflection upon the coaching skills at county level ?

...but Trott got a very decent ball from Johnson, who bowled, I thought, very well, so different from the Johnson we all loved in the 2010/11 Ashes! He may well play a significant role in the next series.
I don't have a problem in England trying out some new blood for this one day series (as many in the media seem to). A good spell of bowling or a decent score could propel them up the pecking order for a place in the test team (just hasn't happened yet!!)

I agree we need to try new blood in this series. Nick Knight suggested that Jamie Overton or Chris Jordan comes in for Joe Root as we know what he can do, they want Trott in at 3 and want to see KP and Carberry open to see whether any of them can play there if needed

Should be quite an interesting final between Glamorgan and Nottinghamshire. Just hope that the weather will allow a full 40 overs per side.

Worcester fielded first and after 2 quick wickets, Hants are now 197-3 when rain stopped play for the day. Moeen Ali dropped 2 at slip which would have significantly changed the score. Ho-hum...

The third ODI between England and Australia only lasted 15.1 overs before the weather intervened and another "no result" ensued. England had scored 59-3 in that time, but Carberry must be rueing his selection in this series, being run out in the very first over of the match.

In the weather-affected match against Leicestershire, Lancashire ended the day on 344-4, with Horton 150 not out (his second successive century).

Should Andrew Strauss apply for the post of Managing Director at the ECB, knowing he hasn't even held an administrative post in county cricket?
Would this not be seen as a lack of experience?
