In the Cheshire East Infrastructure Delivery Plan it states a trial of real time bus information will occur in Crewe next year and after that it should be rolled out across all of Cheshire East.
I thought the 27 Knutsford to Macclesfield route was supposed to have already been the trial for that, with 3 Wright Cadets owned by the council fitted with tracking equipment being used on that route. However, the real time information for that service ended when High Peak made a failed attempt to run the service commercially using their own Solos.
Although, for the trial on the 27 service the tracking info wasn't available at bus stops except for passengers accessing the information on their mobiles, so hopefully for the new trial the council will install LED displays, like Warrington Borough Council provide.
