How many dirrerent types of locos, emu's,dmu's would you expect to see at crewe on a saturday?cheers
Virgin Trains, Arriva Trains (Wales), East Midlands Trains, London Midland, Vross Country and Scot Rail (Caledonian sleeper service) as serve Crewe stations, and being a 12 platform hub station a wide variety of traction can be seen here:
DMU
Class 142 It would be extreemly rare to see one of theese hear as Northern Don't Run 142s into Crewe only 323s as far as i have ever seen.
Class 153 Crewe-Derby EMT service is the best bet fro one of theese
Class 156 -As above but quite rare possibity of seeing one when Football is on at Stoke or Horse Racing at Utoxiter.
Class 158 -As Above along with an odd one or two on ATW MAnchester-Milford Haven Service.
Class 170 -None of theese run into Crewe unles it is on its way to Bomadeer-
Class 175 -ATW Millford Haven Service-
Class 185 -FTPE Don't Run into Crewe so you won't see one of theese here-

Running rather late then! Due to go north on the Lowland around 0330 and south 0415 - 0430!
Looking at the timetable Boards there is one due there at 05:43 i think it said to Invernes...No Overcrowding on that Service![]()

Correction: I have seen 323s in Crewe after all - I have been in the cab when moving b4
ATW rarely send a 142 up to Crewe, so to see one there would be extremely photo-worthy.
Very very very rare I would say, as none of us sign pacers! I think the ones that did crossed them off as soon as they could.![]()
Not ONE driver is signed on the Pacers up North. Not even the Salop crew!ATW rarely send a 142 up to Crewe, so to see one there would be extremely photo-worthy
That's a relief then, no chance of seeing the things up there!![]()
Sure am, and i'm quite fond of Dogboxes too shockingly! You must be relieved that you get 150s...
Isn't Crewe station a bit of a dump (last time I went there there was litter in closed platforms...)
Tyre turning at CE I'd imagine. Also recently I have seen the odd LM 323 for reasons unknown.
