Crewe station - overall plan

Crewe has had a lot of work done recently albeit in a piecemeal way with parts of the station being upgraded independently of each other rather than as some overall plan. My question is twofold. Does this mean the plan to move the station is now scrapped and is there a plan to renovate the rest of the station? It is quite a shock to see the contrast between those bits that have been refurbed and those still to be done.

Many thanks

I don't know, but I suppose it will depend on HS2 and whatever work is needed for that when (if) it is built?

How are things at Crewe now? When I was down a month ago the booking office was a building site and the new retail units were half finished and barriers live. Whats still to happen or has that stage finished? And are the toilets being done to the same standard as those at Carlisle and Preston?
