Hey,

Wondering if anyone can help. A friend has come to me asking me this. They have an off peak single from Crewe to Euston and it’s suggesting they travel Crewe-Birmingham-Euston. They have asked me if they can take the faster Avanti service direct. I tried finding the ticket and looking through the booking stuff they sent me but I can’t tell if it’s marked ‘LNW route only’. The ticket cost is £26.05 (without railcard) which strikes me as a cheap and therefore possibly LNW only. I’ve done some dummy bookings and can’t find that price ticket. If anyone has some way of finding out what ticket they hold.

I know Avanti is facing cancellations etc but I can run them through that. Also, journey is on a Sunday.

Thank you from myself (and a hen party of about 15 people) in advance!

Concur with @JonathanH. The £26.05 fare is the Crewe -> London (Euston) single fare with (groupsave?) discount applied and is restricted to travel on West Midlands trains and/or on London North Western Railway trains.

Ah that’s why, it’s a group of about 9 (the others have railcards) so it’ll be a group save discount. Thank you both so much. Noted re the TV closure.
