Hi All,

I’m planning a trip out to Crewe Electric on Saturday, does anyone have any recommendations as to decent vantage points to see what’s in situ?

All help would be gratefully received.

The only option I can think of is buy a return ticket to Chester, there is/was lots of foliage obstructing the views from the train but a few quick glimpses may be obtainable?

Unfortunately it was a replacement bus service yesterday.

We covered all of the roads outside Crewe Electric and the best vantage points are from Wistaston Road Business Park for the stored 90s and 92s.

You can drive up to the main gate but see a couple of locos but apparently the adjoining business are aggressive to enthusiasts.

The final vantage point is from Enterprise Car Rental on Dunwoody Way however if you are a little small in stature then this one is pointless.

I should add that the walk up to the entrance at Gresty Road is worthwhile. We saw 8 locos there as well.
