Crewe diesel depot??

Does anybody have any clues as to what will happen to crewe diesel depot?
It looks a mess,enjoy the odd class 47,37 sat there rotting away,but it surely could be used for something better.I heard that a multi storey car park was going to be built there,but nothing seems to happen with it.
DB Schneker must be paying the rent on it,so why not use it,not just for stabling sad looking 56's and tankers

Originally the redundant old platforms behind Platform 12 where to be used as a multi-storey car park. Heard nothing since they knocked the platform roof down a few years back.

The Diesel depot is used to store locos, if I remember several class 60's. And my opinion one of the safest and cleanest depots to store them.

Not an awful lot they can do with the depot giving its close proximity to the busy independent lines,I could be wrong though.

Heard through the old railway grapevine (a couple of years ago) that nobody wants to touch it due to oil / fuel contamination of the site. If I'm working in or out of Crewe I often have to walk through the site to get to Basford Hall Yard, it's such a shadow of it's former self now which is very sad. The fuelling and stabling roads alongside are still used for charter locos and stock but the area in front of the main shed has been fenced off for a while now. If I've got time I usually have a little wander round the place and the silence is quite creepy at night, it used to be so full of life.

Agree when i walk round that area it is a bit spooky.I can understand why nobody will touch it now, would cost thousands to clean that site up, just seems a waste of space,Have LNWR got enough space?havent been across there for a while, maybe they could use it for something.
Is the roof in a bad condition?
oh and off the subject for a min, whats the (new) tankers sat on the sidings they have been there years without being moved
