CRB Check Help

I would think that the CRB went OK for you. No train company will pay for a medical if it has a reason not to employ you. They are quite costly things. Money for old rope springs to mind.

What I was told by CRB themselves is that ALL cautions, warnings, charges will show up on a 'standard' CRB check so did you get any of those?

An 'advanced' CRB check shows up everything, including police surveillance on you should you have had any & stuff like that. What I believe is though is that not any old company can ask for an advanced check it has to be people working with children or vulnerable adults, but then again working on the railway you will be dealing with these very people so who knows... This has been an interesting thread throughout. I suggest you read through as their has been some very interesting posts regarding CRB.

No, but if you received any form of reprimand, it might!

Released without charge would suggest that you were cleared and no further action was taken, therefore you were not guilty of an offence. If you were found to be guilty of any offence, you'd have received something formal.

I've been given a start date now guys so I'm guessing the CRB check went ok. Unless of course something raises its ugly head during my probation period.

I believe arrests can show up on an enhanced CRB check. The enhanced CRB check can show everything and records of arrest are held by the police. You are not allowed to visit the United States without a visa if you have ever been arrested.

They haven't done a CRB check going off your posts. To do one, they have to ask your permission to do so. Therefore, if you don't know they've done, then they have not, if you know what i mean!

Glad to hear it, best of luck for the SWT job, I wanted to work on the platform but had to settle for Gateline as theres no vacancies for Platform in my area (London)
