I'm abroad at the moment and can't see all the document, but I see NW electrification is still unrealistic.
Manchester-Preston and Stalybridge are still Dec 2017, but are "indicative" ie not committed.
Preston-Blackpool is just "CP5", so anyone's guess
Not impressed.

On page 11, Manchester to Preston and Stalybridge appear as 10 Dec 2017 both in the middle column (GRIP 6 completion, indicative) and the right-hand column (entry into service, regulated output).

Many of us have been saying these dates seem unrealistic in relation to observed progress on the ground, yet Joseph Locke said on 6th September

I see no programme issues beyond those associated with the timing of the Bolton Blockade.

So logically these all get done first so Bolton -Wigan originally complete by 2017 will not get done. I see this update says GRIP 3 only complete by March 2017 and all else is indicative.

At least GOBLIN electrification looks like it will be complete and EIS in under 1 year

(sorry OT and don't want to start another North-South argument) - that is in London area!!!

I see much of the detail in this report applies to June 2016 as the most recent update for individual projects.
So recent developments/milestone achievements since then (eg live testing on the Tilehurst-Didcot section) is not included.
