Coventry to Wrexham Thursday 25th June

A friend needs to travel from Coventry to Wrexham (either station) tomorrow.

I don't think the direct trains from Birmingham international are running between Birmingham and Shrewsbury and in fact a large part of TfW's network seems to be cancelled.

I've checked the routing guide and I believe through tickets are valid via Crewe and Chester and according to Google maps there is a bus (route 1) running from Chester to Wrexham that would work as a backup option.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Reliability is more important than journey time. She needs to arrive before about 3-4pm but travelling (much) earlier is fine.

I can`t help you that well in regards to the train situation but if your friend chooses to end up at Chester station as part of the journey and then decides to use the Route 1 Arriva bus between Chester and Wrexham then the bus begins its journey directly opposite the station exit at 15 minute intervals and takes around 50 mins but if the friend is already traveling from Crewe towards Chester would they not be on the Crewe - Wrexham shuttle ?

This would obviously be ideal but it appears to have been cancelled (either entirely or beyond Chester) on Wednesday so I'm hoping to provide her with some reassurance she won't be stranded!

The Chester Wrexham shuttles are cancelled, SHR-CTR is running. I would change at Wolverhampton and SHR.
