Coventry to Wembley park

I need to get to Wembley Park on Tuesday, current plan is Branson all the way down to Euston, London Underground to Baker street, then back up on the Met.
Using a Zones 1-6 Travel card.

What are my alternative choices? I need to get a train to Wembley Park as opposed to London Overground to North Wembley etc

LM to Euston and then as your suggestion. LM super off peaks are relatively cheap for walk up tickets

Alternatively:

Coventry to Banbury
Banbury to Marylebone
Walk to Baker Street (It's about 300m and I find it easier than using the tube)
Met to Wembley Park

Do you really need a zones 1-6 card though? A zone 1-4 will do for Wembley Park

A cursory check on NRE states that travelling via High Wycombe (ie: the second route) is cheaper for walk up fares than Any Permitted (I did not check LM only)

Are you trying to save money? Or find a better/more interesting route?

What time do you need to leave/arrive? Are you averse to taking omnibuses? Do you hold a Railcard?

I'm only looking to solve the tube part of my equation, hence using VT down to either Watford or London Euston.

So I am looking for the cheapest way from either London or watford to wembley park, full adult fare.

OK, here's what I think are your options (assuming you will not be arriving in London/Watford before 9.30am):

• VT to Euston, walk to Euston Square, Underground to Wembley Park (possibly changing at Baker Street). Cost £7.30 for Z1-4 off-peak day travelcard or Oyster single fares of £3.40 between 1600 and 1900 towards Wembley Park or £2.50 at other times and for the return at any time.
• VT to Watford Junction, LO/LM/SN/Bakerloo to Kenton, walk to Northwick Park, Met to Wembley Park. Cost with Oyster of £3.00 between 1600 & 1900 and £1.40 at other times each way. Travelcard would be £14.50.

Does your ticket allow break of journey? If so you can change at Watford onto a local train to Wembley Central. If this is too far from Wembley Park for you to walk you can get a bus - 223 or 297. This will cost £1.30 on Oyster or £2.20 cash and the same back (or if paying cash cheaper to get a 1 day bus pass).
