Hey, looking at doing this journey. Any ways along the point I can split it?
Would it be cheaper to go through central london or take XC towards basingstoke and change as needed?

Thanks guys :)

Split in London. COV gets 3 tph to Euston and that's just Virgin so there are often a lot more advance fares London way than with XC. You'll have to pay for the tube though but I think it will work out cheaper nonetheless especially with oyster

If you've got time an LM only from COV to EUS will be cheapest (if you can travel after 23/7/11 you can take advantage of their half price offer)

There is a better fare from Nuneaton-Haslemere as follows:

route COVENTRY £60.80
route +LONDON £57.40

The route COVENTRY ticket could be used via London on the return if you wanted to travel out via XC and return on Virgin, (or you could do it the other way round).

Anyway, it would be good if you could give us some indication of day and time you wish to travel.

Depending on when you want to travel there are advance tickets (still available in mid September) via London for £11-50. At that price you will not save by splitting.

To enable us to give a definate answer we would need to know thw dates and at what time you are trevelling.

Not in front of a TIS at the moment so no fares, but if you decide to go via Reading/Basingstoke try splitting at Banbury. Probably stand to save more by looking at Advance tickets or getting LM Super Off Peak via London though (subject to time restrictions of course)
