friend has asked me to find him a train as he got a ticket for the FA cup last minute. Ideally in BTN before 1 and leave after 18:30. 16-25 railcard.

Best I can find is Chiltern for £34 return.

Many Thanks

I’m sure someone will be able to advise you better than I can about fares but please note that the nearest station to the stadium is Falmer not Brighton.

The "via High Wycombe" (i.e. Chiltern) ticket to Falmer is the same price as the one to Brighton. If "best" means cheapest, I can't think of anything better. Otherwise, flexible returns Coventry-Milton Keynes and Milton Keynes-Falmer would add up to around £45 with railcard and, although they would allow travel into/out of Euston, they would be limited to trains that are timetabled to stop at Milton Keynes. Otherwise £49.65 for an "any permitted" offpeak return, or £37.30 for an offpeak return "via Kensington Olympia" (i.e. with changes at Watford Junction, Clapham Junction and Brighton).

Coventry - Euston Off Peak Return £19.15 (London Midland only)
Walk from Euston to St Pancras
St Pancras - Brighton Super Off Peak Day Return £8.05
Brighton - Falmer Off Peak Day Return £2.30
Total £29.50

Thanks. BTN to FAL is included in the ticket apparently.

Nuneaton to BRighton £28.95 but shows as no trains available?

That's routed +Southern and LNR only so you need to use LNR to Euston then Southern from Victoria. Webtis sites will sell the ticket if you select Slower Routes and tick Southern and WMT only.

While the other posters are correct in saying the stadium is beside Falmer station, on match days you could be queueing for up to an hour to get aboard a train. An easier option would be to get bus 25 from Brighton to the Amex stadium.
