Services were routed via Nuneaton and Coleshill Parkway using SuperVoyagers.

Not unless dragged no, and then you have to uncouple and couple back up for each pendo at Nuneaton. Virgin obviously decided it wasnt worth the hassle.

Completely replacing the track I think. They were certainly doing that at Canley when I passed through at sundown on Sunday. (And whatever they were doing to the rails at that stage was making the most unearthly Doctor-Who-1960s-sound-effects kind of noises.) The blockade was from somewhere around Coventry North junction westwards to the Fletchamstead Hwy bridge.

Not via Coleshill Pwy and Water Orton - it's not electrified.

The NMT can leave yellow paint where work is need, there was quite alot there.

I've noticed that too; normally you can never hear trains from my house even though it's only 100 yards from the mainline. The horns have been going off a lot in the last couple of weeks.
