I think there’d need to be slightly complicated crossing moves at the west end of Leeds. HGT line services better kept with the Airedales in 0-5(?).

I was going to say it may be best for when it is four tracked East of Leeds!

Even so, you’re exiting west of Leeds from platforms 8-16, meaning you aren’t on the HGT line tracks. Crossing over frequently takes up many valuable paths.

How about, the same but keeping them split at Leeds ?

For example, Leeds - Harrogate - York then Leeds but reversing at Leeds - York - Harrogate - Leeds and visa versa!
