Could Victoria to Gillingham trains make more stops?

In the up direction they might as well call more, as they get stuck behind a Thameslink pretty quickly; the up journeys take 30 minutes to get from Bromley South-Victoria, but only 23 minutes in the down direction. The problem here though is while this is useful for Victoria passengers, if you want the City or nearby the Thameslink service just ahead will sort you out, so I doubt many passengers would board (you would not have anywhere near 15/15/15/15 in a given hour). Also this service is only hourly off peak, so any extra calls would only be 3tph, unless 2tph all day is decided.

Yes I’ve noticed the slow crawl behind a Thameslink. I mean surely, if you include Peckham and Crofton Park calls it’ll generate demand for an extra train per hour. You’re right in the morning though most people seem to use the Thameslinks on to get to work rather than the Victoria trains.

For those of us who live in the relevant part of South London, a more frequent service between Denmark Hill/Peckham/Nunhead/Crofton park/Catford would certainly be welcome.

This section should have 4tph stoppers (+ the regional services to Gillingham/Dover) which would all call at Denmark Hill. Ideally more, there is capacity on the Loop route itself, but not either side of it.
