Bombardier recently delivered large numbers of new trams for Blackpool and Manchester - why weren't these built at Derby? That seems like an obvious way to generate extra work for the plant. I know Derby had a role in building the EuroTrams for Strasbourg, so there is tram building in its past, and they built Movia metro units for LUL. It seems wasteful that every tram in service in the UK was built abroad now.
