At the moment the likes of the north end of the Chase Line from Walsall have seen a number of early terminators on the line due to late running from the ex London services, whereas the stopper ex Wolverhampton seems to be near enough on time when it terminates at Walsall.
Instead of leaving the Chase Line self contained, and no longer having a London Service from Walsall, which is what West Midlands Railway are planning, would it be worth doing the following:
Instead of leaving the Chase Line self contained, and no longer having a London Service from Walsall, which is what West Midlands Railway are planning, would it be worth doing the following:
- Running the existing London to Walsall service as its current calling patterns, with additional stops at Bescot and Hamsted. This would terminate in P3 at Walsall.
- Extending the existing Wolverhampton - Walsall stopper to run to meet the TV line, replacing the existing Chase Line service (plus maybe having 1Tph start back at Crewe via Stoke to bring the service 2tph via the wobble).
