What would be the impediments to running the SE Victoria to Dartford services as a loop on the Bexleyheath and Sidcup lines? This would provide enhanced connections to services to Blackfriars and Clapham Junction.

Probably a lack of paths through Lewisham as there are the sidcup, Hayes and Orpington lines converging as well as freight from Hither Green sidings and along the sidcup line from Hoo/cliffe/Angerstien etc.

Lack of paths, lack of stock, and most importantly, connections to Blackfriars services are provided at London Bridge post 2018, and connections to Clapham Junction services can be done via Waterloo.

Reminds me of the SRA plans back in 2005 to move the Dartford - Victoria service to go via Sidcup & Lewisham, with the Sidcup line Charing Cross & Cannon Street services missing Lewisham. Made operational sense with the conflicts at Lewisham, but the existing use Bexleyheath line passengers won the day.

Hence why Sidcup line continues to have 4 tph and Bexleyheath line 6 tph.

I can't see a reduction in Bexleyheath line trains now. The amount of housing going up beside Kidbrooke station is huge. That station will likely triple in user numbers in the coming decade. 3 million per annum at least is likely. It'll have a number of towers around it.
