Could ScotRail 170/3s move to Northern?

But who is "TS control"? Surely you're referring to ScotRail Control?

Transport Scotland, the company (run by ministers) that controls the ScotRail franchise. Obviously this is a nebulous and needlessly complex government organisation (like all departments) but the railway control guys say they haven't heard anything.

Transport Scotland control? You mean Queensferry? They just manage the road network and have absolutely no oversight or involvement with the railway. If you’re talking about an actual railway operations control room like the joint Network Rail/ScotRail set up at Cowlairs then TS doesn’t have one; it just has a management on call structure for rail.

I admit calling it control has certain connotations, but the management structure at Transport scotland for the railways still exits, with an office in Victoria quay.

Granted, it's dissimilar to a toc or NR control centres, and more of an open plan office somewhere, but I feel like you could have gotten that from the earlier message.
