I had a day trip out with my family yesterday (just Batley to Hebden Bridge) - 2 adults and 2 children, no railcard. I bought them on Trainsplit and had the PDF tickets on my phone. It seemed a bit of a faff having to open each ticket individually to be scanned by the guard. I recall that it used to be that tickets for 2 adults (for example) were issued on one piece of card, though I haven't seen that for a while. Would it be technically possible to have an option when choosing e-tickets for a party's tickets to be shown on a single ticket or, if not, a single PDF showing all the QR/Aztec codes on one document?
Appreciate this doesn't necessarily work where barriers are involved - but in that case we'd have gone to the manual gate in any case to show all the tickets, otherwise the phone has to be passed back between the passengers one at a time - still with the faff of closing one ticket and opening the next.
