I don't know, that 4-berth GWR compartment in the picture looks rather cozy - and good for families or small groups.Minute 1 - twistlocks, Minute 2 - lift, Minute 3 & 4 - drive around to the opposite platform, Minute 5 - lower, Minute 6 - twistlocks, minute 7&8 - drink tea

Realistically, 1x 4 berth cabin will take up 50% more room than a 2 berth cabin, so the ticket price reduction would only be 25% to make the same income per unit length of train - probably not enough of a reduction to attract people to what would not be a particularly pleasant experience.

Looking at that picture, is it any larger than a normal 6-person seated compartment?
