Unsure if mentioned but stations on the line have the long overdue new signage. Delighted! Makes the stations look immaculate. Cosham also repainted as has woolston

A lot of SWT stations have received the new signage over the past year. I agree that it is a big improvement, although I hope the new signs are more robust than the old ones...

There are a few stations where the redundant red 'do not alight' boards from the days of Mk1 stock have been revinyled - they should have spent the money removing them... :roll:

Ashurst NF has the new signage but still has the 'HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL - BRITISH RAIL in partnership' sign on P2 end!

The old NSE signs seemed to be notorious for fading. I do think that white on black (or is it navy blue?) is a lot clearer than black on white.

Southampton Central has been done since spring at the latest, and all stations between St Denys and Fareham were done by July when I was there. Portsmoouth & Southsea, Guildford and Woking are the only ones I can think of / have seen that are still to be done.

Woking seems to have new signs, but in the old red, orange and white style. (They certainly looked new the other day; perhaps they were simply well protected from the elements?)

Dean is managed by First Great Western?

Southampton and Fareham were treated some time ago but the other stations must be recent as I often go that way.

Can anyone confirm that stations between Fareham-Eastleigh have recieved the new signage as Eastleigh especially had very faded signs last visit. I was informed not all stations were to be treated so perhaps that was incorrect information.

The welcome to signs have indeed disappeared. At Swanick they use the old BR symbol which apparently is the new National Rail design despite looking like a SWT corporate sign

Well Portchester must only have been done a few weeks ago as when i went up there to see the 'Brittania' and HST railtours there were still 'Wet Paint' signs everywhere, the paint was'nt wet tho........ sorry but i had to touch it to find out!

It has transformed the stations. SWT have really improved them as those between Fareham-Southampton were a state for years before new vandal proof shelters and now signs were installed

Portchester is still being painted, The lamp posts and railings have been done, today saw them working on the canopy and the top coat of red paint on the doors.

Cosham has recently had a new roof on the Fareham bound shelter.

I suspect the painting and signage contractors have been on separate timetables, and any station that was done at about the same time was just a coincidence...

Will look to see if Botley or Hedge End have the new signs as well as Eastleigh

I know Botley and Eastleigh both have the new signs and about 95% correct that Hedge End.

Yes Hedge End has the new signs. I think the question is which locations still have the old signs?

Woking, Pompey & Southsea and Guildford. I think that's it. It's due for completion in autumn, so there could be more.

Some signs at Clapham but some are new. Brockenhurst and some stations on the Bournemouth line had the welcome boards in the old style last visit with a mixture of signage often the case.

Christchurch will hopefully recieve a repaint soon!

I went past Beaulieu Road yesterday and think that all signs from the road indicating that there is a station have gone...including the dirty old red double-arrow one. The platform signs have of course changed.
