Coryton Line, Cardiff

Some great stuff on this site, thank you.

Would anyone know anything more about the 'Weedkiller Train' that goes up and down my dead-end branch line most nights, depending on the season, please? Coryton, Cardiff, line.

Two diesel units, two or three chemical containers, a penultimate wagon that looks like electrical equipment encased thereon.

I have video which would be better than my poor description. Too large to upload.

It does a fair old trip.

Can anyone decipher what the data shows?

Any good info gratefully received. When I was young, I recall steam trains on the old double tracks. Single track now.

Unless you have some fairly extreme weeds in Coryton, it's unlikely to be a weedkiller train every night! Much more likely to be spraying water or Sandite to clear the rails of slippery leaves during the autumn period.

The Coryton branch is very slippery during leaf fall so at this time of year it will almost certainly be the railhead treatment train.

Beast of a train compared to the passenger trains going up and down. It's whole route is quite lengthy.
