This should have been said at beginning but..

Stopping the spread starts with all of us - the Scottish Government tagline...

I’m sure it’s not me that’s questioning that more!

A word I've seen recently, although had to look the definition up on Urban Dictionary, is "Covidian": which apparently means "Someone who has elevated COVID-19 prevention or mitigation to the point of a religious persuasion, like they have become a zealot and judge and shame others for their “lesser” measures. A COVIDIAN does everything with COVID-19 prevention in mind, especially for others to see."

There is also an enhanced version called "Branch Covidian", which is perhaps more extreme: "The far left zealots that believe everyone should worship a disease and give up their life in fear of it. The kind of people that approve of locking people in their homes and taking away freedoms."

Very good!

The 'Branch Covidian' definition seems to apply to the US though - in this country that sort of behaviour isn't solely associated with either left or right; it has practitioners across the political spectrum.

A bit like the Moonies, if anyone remembers them. Certainly getting cult status in some sectors of society.

"an Academic says.."

normally followed by some statement dreamt up by a person with tunnel vision and no social awareness.

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas and this year I do mean little"

Boris manages to excel himself yet again!

Chief Bedwetter. Deputy Chief Bedwetter.
Perhaps cruel to people with problem bladders
Covid cowards is perhaps more representative.

Substantial Meal!

Just let me have a pint for f***s sake! I can sit in the pub on my own pouring pint after pint of Pepsi Max, or in 'Spoons as many coffees as I want down my neck but cannot touch alcohol unless I have a "substantial meal". Ridiculous!

‘Incredibly’ seems to be the most overused word of the year, in phrases such as ‘That’s an incredibly good/important question..’. OK, what’s the answer? Also ‘My colleague/Dido has been working incredibly hard...’
