Asda and Tesco's pevensey today was a joke, all tills open and the queues went all the way into the aisles
Source needed for the listing. I would put my house on that being an Amazon Marketplace listing where sellers charge what they want. Not really Amazon. It’s like railing against eBay for the people mentioned upthread reselling hand sanitiserThis is all going to get out of hand very soon. All online delivery slots booked until the end of this month with my usual supermarket, even though I have a prepaid delivery pass for 6 months. Amazon making you wait a month for a thermometer to be delivered although they must have this item in stock as they offer a two day delivery for a £25 surcharge. Completely out of order, but what do you expect from a company that avoids paying their fair share of tax?
“over 70’s must remain inside....or on a golf course”Don't think the over 70s ban will happen in the USA Donald trump was born in 1946.
Thay could well be Amazon Marketplace sellers but lots on there are doing it and Amazon are letting them do lt.Source needed for the listing. CTV News (British Columbia) said:VANCOUVER -- Amazon says it has blocked the account of a Vancouver couple who claimed to have resold $100,000 of cleaning supplies amidst the COVID-19 crisis, as well as hundreds of thousands of others who were reselling items.
Manny Ranga and Violeta Perez were seen at a Vancouver Costco on Thursday, filling their truck with boxes of Lysol wipes.
Was in the local shop last night and they were restocking the loo rolls. 2 low life's were trying to buy them all but the shop assistant wouldn't let them.
How many people have you actually seen panic buying at ridiculous levels - ie not explainable as over-cautious people with large families and maybe shopping for others too?
Social media makes even the very unusual seem usual the way photos etc go round.
Indeed, my local Tesco was not especially busy at midday. Gaps in all the items usually mentioned - plus kitchen roll now completely wiped out. Yet I have not heard any raised voices, seen squabbles, or any kind of grabbing items out of other peoples trolleys etc.I was in Wakefield Sainsburys this morning and things all seemed very relaxed.
There were some gaps in the shelves where you might expect (and some where you wouldn't) but by and large I managed to do a reasonably normal (if a little larger, in case one has to stay in) shop.
The last big toilet roll delivery at our Waitrose was Monday evening, meaning that the shelves were full at 08:00, half full at 08:30 and all gone by 09:20. Today, most pasta and rice was gone from the shells. The Tilda microwave rice was plentiful at lunch time todayas the herd rushed for the dry rice and it allYesterday my local Waitrose was out of loo roll and kitchen towel and I noticed that frozen chips in particular had sold out.
The first paragraph is wrong: "People are stealing hand sanitiser from hospitals and GP surgeries in Britain because of the coronavirus outbreak, sparking pleas from healthcare workers to stop."Even more selfish than panic buying and hoarding, people have been stealing hand sanitiser from hospitals.

Local shops now out of loo roll so there you go, the panic buyers have cleaned them out...Can be good for independent shops
I used the local to buy my rolls as big Tesco was out

Glue your toilet rolls togetherNow you mention it, I wish I'd got kitchen roll !

Amazon is blocking people from attempting to profiteer from coronavirus by selling things at vastly inflated prices.Amazon is neither letting nor not letting them do it. On Marketplace you list at whatever price you like.
panic over! Just been to the local shop lots of loo rollsWas in the local shop last night and they were restocking the loo rolls. 2 low life's were trying to buy them all but the shop assistant wouldn't let them.
How do you explain £30 for a £3 thermometer thenAmazon is blocking people from attempting to profiteer from coronavirus by selling things at vastly inflated prices.
have you reported it? clearly they are taking action but i doubt they can take instant action against loads of people, especially if they've not yet - or only just - been made aware of it.How do you explain £30 for a £3 thermometer then

I suppose the problem is capacity in moving the stuff - I assume that the supermarkets are desperately trying to get additional lorries etc?
All the thermometers I looked at from £1.99 to £100 had at least a £20 pound mark up for quick delivery this week£30 is a not unusual price for a thermometer. Depends which type.
Bought one in Morrisons for £3.30 Friday morning. Although it was branded "Paw Patrol."
