Anyone know if there's going to be earlier or later services to/from Penzance after the Dec 2018 timetable change? Thanks in advance.

I hope so. I'm a local in Cornwall and we could definitely do with an earlier and later service to/from Plymouth on a weekend. Adding to that, the Newquay branch could do with a better service too (I live in Newquay) but no plans for that as far!

Newquay struggles to justify the service it has let alone any extras...

If only they had left the route via Truro. The current route is never going to see much improvement in service or patronage I'm afraid.

Plus you’d have the added bonus of continuing to serve Perranporth by rail.

That too.

I think that the best possible thing is the theoretical reopening of the St Austell line from St Dennis to St Columb Road. At least then Newquay would be connected to a town a bit bigger than Par!
