Can't say I'm totally surprised by this for various reasons.

well why would it just not stop! lol
Before commenting, I suggest people should do their research. The paper has blown this completely out of the water.
I shall elaborate. Perranwell passengers have a train towards Falmouth and Truro every hour (one skips it making up a half hour service) and this stop is by request. This service is FAR better than they have ever had. The trains missing them are in fact the one that aren't timetabled to stop, and they have interpreted the request stop as applying to all of the trains!
How commuters has anything to do it aswell, considering all trains before 0900 stop at Perrenwell.
Now please, stop with the FGW bashing, who recently published punctuality figures of 94.5%, amongst the best in the country.

With respect, no-one (on this thread) is bashing FGW.
So, the service on the line is doubled, but the offpeak service to this station remains at the hourly frequency? Correct me if I'm wrong.
So, this station is no worse off than it used to be (and actually has a better peak service)?
Sadly, this just goes to show that some members of the public will compalin about anything...
excuse my ignorance but how is one supposed to stop a train by request? Surely you're not expected to stick your arm out like when waiting for a bus!

The Falmouth line was not hourly before the new timetable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
According to the Great Malvern paper, FGW hsts waiting at the station before their next service causes chaos for residents. Yeh...
Thats a far better timetable but difficult to keep to only using 2 units. Assume they go into a bay platform easily at Truro.
