Hello all. I'm booked to travel to Clermont next month and won't have time between my incoming Eurostar and train to Clermont to stop and eat. Can I count on there being a buffet car or something on the Paris-Clermont train?

A related question: best route G. du Nord to G. de Bercy ... I'm thinking RER to G. de Lyon then walk - or is it worth getting on the metro for the single stop Lyon-Bercy?

Many thanks.

The walk from Gare de Lyon to Gare de Bercy only takes about 10 minutes but line 14 of the metro has new driverless stock which makes the trip quite interesting.

According to the page on www.voyages-sncf.com, snacks are served at your seat on Intercités trains - menu (you have to pay).

Thanks - never used Bercy before (Nord, Lyon, St-Lazare & Austerlitz), but have been on Line 14.

Be aware that there are minimal facilities in the vicinity of Gare de Bercy or in the station itself. As far as I am aware there are one or two restaurants near the station and one or two food outlets, some seats and toilets in the station itself. The area between Gare de Bercy and Gare de Lyon is dominated by multi-storey glass offices while the Bercy area is also home to the French finance ministry.

There was no trolley on it when I travelled on it last year, the newsagents and kiosks were doing a roaring trade at Bercy. It was also over half an hour late into Clermont but my connection to Nimes was held.
