Coppermill Junction

Hi everyone, I have a quick question about the future of coppermill junction. Earlier today I went from Stratford to Tottenham Hale, and on the Down Temple Mills between Coppermill and Lea Bridge Station there looks to be a new signal in place. Its not got the light box bit yet, so its essentially a signal post and an associated AWS magnet (supressed). There's another functioning signal about 1-200 yds London side of this new signal, country end of Lea Bridge Road Station. I can't think why a new signal is needed here, the only thing I can imagine is that it could be for the potential re-opening of Hall Farm Curve?

The station is being re-opened, the platform extended, and this new signal will replace the existing one.
(This is from memory - I can check the plans when back at work tomorrow...)

And the ITT for the next franchise requires a regular service linking Angel Road(!) to Stratford calling at Lea Bridge, with most services calling at Northumberland Park

For the benefit of others, I'll add that the regular service to Angel Road is because of a big planned housing development in the area. It's not because the current neighbouring scrapyard is about to turn in to a tourist attraction.

Thanks for the replies! One other little thing, at Stratford platform 11, there seems to be new "class 378 5 car stop" boards. They are new I'm sure, any idea what for?

Just a guess - diversion of NLL into platform 11 when platforms 1 and 2 (or the pointwork at Channelsea Jn) need some TLC? Advising the driver where to stop so that his rear cab is (just) inside the starting signal for when he changes ends. There's room for 8 cars in platform 11, so a 5-car 378 might be tempted to go too far towards Temple Mills to be sure of being in the platform, and that, if memory serves, takes the punters too far from the stairs and escalators.
