Blimey, theblackwatch in shorts, no worse than me!
I've been known to wear shorts for railway trips too when it's hot!

Ice cream! We have air con in the office but not in the lab... thick cotton lab coat + nitrile gloves at 28 C, loverly
Better than in the winter when the heating's packed in (more often than not) - working at 4 C in the middle of last winter![]()
I went down the pub ...
Then it wont go forward![]()
make sure my hair is cut short as it's rather thick.
Working in a cafe kitchen is always fun in this weather, especially in our all-black uniforms....![]()
SS4, my hair is from my dad's side of the family, very thick and requires cutting quite regularly as it feels rather uncomfortable in hot weather.
I do like working nights, but would hate to be on nights and trying to sleep in this weather!Sometimes working at Night has its advantages, unless your on Hest Bank in the middle of winter!

Today I'll just be drinking plenty of water and finding excuses to go sit in the cab for a few minutes at a time (that I'll of course have the HVAC set to full on)...
The rest of the time we just have to deal with it, glass building with no windows, was 28.7C in the office yesterday (ambient).
Imagine my delight when an LO train I was on yesterday evening didn't have the AC on![]()
Do train staff have the ability to alter or switch on/off the heating and/or aircon or does it have to be done by the fitters back at the depots?
