Controller Grades

Morning all,

Does anyone have a list of railway controller grades to hand? I see all these advertisements for different roles within Control, but they mention 'Grade 4' for Disruption Controller or 'Grade 6B' Customer Information or something similar.

Any idea what any of this means?

They will be salary bands eg grade 4 25-28k, grade 5 28-32k etc, however they will be different for each TOC and there isn't any central list.

I did wonder if they'd be TOC-specific. Thanks.

Network Rail controller grades are 1 - 4 (1 being highest) and are typically better paid than the equivalent TOC controller grades. RCMs and, I believe, some of the NOC controllers are on different terms and conditions.
