Chaps,

Over the past two or three days I've been experiencing problems getting onto the forum. I'm guessing that there's something amiss between my ISP and the forum server because I can use the rest of the internetworkwebthingy perfectly fine but I get a 404 whenever I try coming on here. It's really annoying as, judging from the activity that continues while I can't get online, it seems I'm the only poor sap suffering.

Any ideas...?

What is your ISP, and is it working intermittently or are you currently connecting through a proxy, or not through your home connection?

I occasionally get the same thing during the week. at weekends it seems to happen dead-on 12:00 and lasts for around ten minutes. I'm on Virgin Media.

I've been getting it recently too. I'm on Pipex. Rather than the 404, I've been getting "Connection has timed out". I've tried the site in other browsers, but they all give similar errors. The rest of the internet works perfectly.

Sounds more like it's the RUK host being unable to cope!!!!!

Been fine here, ISP is NDO/Namesco ;)

It could be that some of an ISPs name servers aren't quite up to date after the events of last month.

I keep having minor connectivity problems tho I put it down to my laptop's wireless card losing track of my router.
I'll sort it soon enough anyway ;)

Hmm I have problems occasionally and they must be DNS problems with this site or something because my connection works fine but Open DNS comes up with search results for it as usual

Youtube went down for me with 404 for about a week. Sometimes I get messages such as cannot connect to server on here. Only really got the messages to do with the forum since the change over.

My ISP is AOL.
