confused please help

Right i have assessments with two toc's on the go, did stage 1 assessments with arriva yesterday, i also got an email from MTR crossrail asking me to complete SJT and VSE i done the SJT it was exactly the same as the arriva one. My question is how well that go down with arriva if failed one and passed the other SJT i know that MTR's policy is that they want you resit all tests even if you've passed them elsewhere. also should i wait for the results of the arriva assessments then do the MTR VSE ?

have to complete MTR's vse by tomorrow 17:00 hours

You may wish to seek clarification with opc but if you dip the MTR vse you may not be allowed to take it again when you go for stage 2 arl at Watford.
I applied for mtr but realised soon after that it hadn’t quite been 6 months since I dipped the vse for arriva. Haven’t heard back yet.

yeah called the OPC they said as i done Arrivas first they'll be using that result, i asked if could move MTR dead line back a bit they said no i have to choose between the two. Arriva results aren't going to be back untll next week now. Could miss out on both

dont know what to do if arriva come back and say no failed then i have missed out on MTR. MTR ilford is so close to me as well

I thought the VSE was in the second stage with Arriva? Did you do it at stage one with the group Bourdon etc?

The VSE is an additional test thought right with both those TOCs? Not one of the '2 strikes and you're out' tests..? I think you'd only have an issue with MTR if you failed the GB / tea-occ / DFFT with Arriva. Then you'd have to wait 6 months so would have to drop out of the MTR one too.

Sorry I misread slightly you haven't done the VSE with Arriva.. I would do the VSE with MTR if you don't hear from Arriva by tomorrow. I don't think you can be penalized for doing that. Particularly if you pass. Arriva might just make you do it again anyway. Hopefully someone who knows for sure can advise. But it's Defo not a 2 strike test.

Yeah Arriva do the VSE at second stage. I was thinking i could the MTR vse but if i fail it would arriva turn around say you've done it and failed sorry ?

That I don't know. I know you can't re-sit it for 6 months but I thought that was with the same TOC. It sounds like the OPC told you otherwise though with the SJT so in that case it may be the same with the VSE. Once every 6 months regardless of TOC (But perhaps only if you fail it..?)
