Confirmed running during the Easter strike

Out of interest, will National Rail have to pay tocs rebate? if unable to run due to the dispute, as tocs have to refund tickets etc.

I appreciate it is the trade union withdrawing labour who are causing the
non running of tocs, some one may know like Dave Newcastle.

Tyne and Wear Metro are looking to use buses as a replacement from Pelaw to South Hylton. Would have been useful this morning, as some b*****d half inched the cables again.

I'm not adequately familiar with the terms of the contract between NR and the TOCs to answer this question.
Certainly, if NR fail to provide the infrastructure and its operational committments, then you'd expect NR to be liable for compensation, but it was common practice (tho decreasingly so these days) for the exeptions from liability to include industrial action.

Thanks Dave, just wondering, I recall the op out clauses in other areas,
has you say, what's in the contract, certainly not an act of God, in this case.

ScotRail says services are only running between 07:00 and 19:00 next week. Does anyone know if this effects all services? I also understand there's no Sleepers at all next week.
