I have an upcoming structured interview for a conductor position, this is essentially my last hurdle before I go into the job I've been wanting to do for such a long time.
So I was wanting to call on the knowledge of people who have done this interview before, as it's based on OPC assessments there are going to be parallels in the questioning even amongst different TOCs.

I was looking at questions that may pop up and found some pretty common ones on this forum that people have written down, some of which.

Give an example of a time you have dealt with an emergency
Give an example of a time you have worked as part of a team
....dealt with a difficult or conflicting situation
....worked hard to achieve a goal
....worked to strict rules and regulations

So on and so forth..

I was wondering if anybody out there who has been through this type of interview before could add anything to that list and also give me a rundown of a typical structured interview.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie K.

Hi Inge, you have summed it up in the questions you have already posted. Think of times you have done these things and add a bit of sparkle to them. Bang on about safety, customer service and throw how you like things to be punctual. This should see you through. Most important thing is safety at all times then giving great customer service. Tickets come in at third place.

As a former airline pilot of knakered old planes I had some examples of problems dealt with. However, they weren't deemed good examples and I ended up talking about collecting and erecting a shed that was not the stated dimensions.

Sounded stupid at the time but I passed.
