Conductor Structured Interview

Hi all,

I have looked through the information the forum and found much of it helpful. I am wondering if my unknown question could be answered. I have my structured interview with ScotRail for a Conductor position coming up soon and I am wondering if anyone could lead me to examples of what to expect on the preparation forum. I currently have 3 examples in my booklet but I am wondering what the others are likely to be and whether after they are answered do we move on to more questions or is it all answered through what I write down? One of the questions states "Briefly describe a time" By this and of course the detail they are expecting do I write everything down using a structured layout or brief answers for them to question me on? I can picture me covering all they want to question me on and them having nothing to ask me... I obviously don't want to do them out of a job! Any help will be greatly appreciated

Do as the question asks and write a brief summery [no more than a few lines] of 'a time or situation when you...'.

During the interview you will be asked to explain your answer fully in a structured way. You'll be asked why you did certain things and how you felt about it at the time. Try not to stray too much from the actual question and be clear in the points you make.

They are looking for someone who is suitable for the role. Look at the person specification on the job description and aim to include the skills from there in your answers.
