Hi All

I am due to attend an interview for Skipton conductor shifts on 9th January and would like to ask for any advice as to what they may ask or how I should prepare for it.

Also, I have applied for Skipton but would be open to working at Leeds aswell, would it be a good idea to mention this in my interview.

Thanks in advance

I had my interview for Northerns Manchester Depots a few weeks ago.

The interview was carried out by a Conductor Manager, with another member if staff taking notes.

The first part of the interview was about my previous experience, what I knew about Northern and what I knew about the role of the Conductor.

The rest of the interview was the usual questions about things like time management, organisational skills, team work ect.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies guy's

I'm currently on around 17k and would be open to accept a job at a lower grade in order to get employment with Northern.

I pay 1k in traveling costs per year so wages around 16,500 would be ok with the free travel on offer.

Is there many jobs that pay around that and possible overtime with them roles too?

Hi Andrew32. I'm in the talent pool for the conductors job at Leeds but i've just accepted a role with Northern. Gateline Operator. Starts at 16,500 and rises to 17,500 after 6 months. Overtime is also available.
