Conductor Interview - Northern Rail

Hey guys, I have an interview with Northern Rail next Friday and was hoping that someone could shed some light on the sorts of interview questions asked?

I have an interview that day too! My understanding is they are example interview questions ie 'tell me a time you worked under pressure'. 'tell us about a situation in which you had to provide customer service' etc etc

Had my interview in January and start my training tomorrow based in Leeds. Standard interview questions and questions that have already been posted above. They also asked me what I knew about the conductor role, how I would approach certain situations that a conductor would face on a train, examples of types of vulnerable passengers and how I would get to work for the really early starts.

Oh and don't read the guidance notes wrong like I did for the group exercise!

Hi Mike, I also have an interview for the conductor role with Northern. The invitation email didn't mention a group exercise. Could you give some more information about that or any other exercises you were asked to do on the day? All the best for your training.

Hi Sean, you should have received guidance notes as an attachment to the invitation email. If not then you may not have to do a group exercise.
