Graffiti? I know! Reading remodelling Eastern underpass. The current paint job is apparently the finished product. I planned to nip down on Friday to get a pic and be a sure fire winner. Then it snowed... :)

Oh well, next time!

Pic 1 methinks. Very hard to chose this week - graffiti is not usually something that we appreciate!

I too was having a problem with picture number 1,being unable to decide whether it came under the heading of graffiti. However -

graffiti plural noun noun

/grəˈfiː.ti//-t ̬i/

Definition

words or drawings, especially humorous, rude or political, on walls, doors, etc. in public places
The subway walls are covered in graffiti.

I went for 2, because it is the only one that uses the graffiti as an integral part of the composition. The rest are just trains that happen to have graffiti.

I do hope people aren't voting on the basis of what would look good with 31 dates listed next to them...

Why not? People have lots of different views and opinions about things. People like different things and look at them in different ways. For example, I picked 1 because I liked the idea that it wasn't graffiti but it had a sort of basic idea that could count.

Weh heh! Thank you very much to everyone who voted, that was certainly a close-call! I didn't expect to win against competition where the graffiti was actually on the trains. That makes this my second win of 2013, and my 4th in total altogether, what a great way to start the year, cheers everyone :D

Ref my earlier post re Reading station southern underpass - Here's a photo I took from a train a couple of days ago when I went down that way again.

Sorry for the poor quality - the train's windows were filthy! Good old FGW...

This is apparently the finished product - What a great paint job... :)
