Super choice this week. Like #3 & #11, good simple shot and intreguing photo of such a simple structure, a curvy tunnel ... dont see those everyday. Opted for #11 though, lots of detail in there. Excellent.

I know that curved tunnel! It's on the Buxton line, between Dove Holes and Chapel.

It's probably the best picture, but it doesn't really fit the theme, as the focus of the shot is most definitely on the train rather than any type of infrastructure...

I personally feel that the gantry cranes are still an integral part of the photo though.

I won't say which one I voted but number 5 was a contender.

I believe I am right in thinking that the wooden hut in photo 5 was previously the signalbox for the crossing, opened 04-Jun-1892 but apparently downgraded to a gate box as far back as 1922. I believe the hut shown survives in case the crossing has a failure and needs to be manned. I don't know when the crossing was last manned on a regular basis but Tisbury SB closed 05-Feb-1967 so Tisbury Gates - which is the name of the crossing - probably hasn't been regularly manned since then. Confirmation welcome.

Lastly I will say that I am glad to see that the hut appears to have been given some TLC as it was in quite a tatty condition. Glad to see it has been repainted to green & cream and looks splendid in the sunshine in that photo.

The 465 is clearly incidental to #11 and the photo otherwise is very clear and a fine match for the criteria. I just wish my entry was that good

It really wasn't meant to be focused on that (the networker - hence why the train is not in focus in the picture ), but mainly focused on the track and how "straight" it is for the approach to London Bridge station
