I hate to be pedantic but surely Number 3 is a Paddington stopper, which is announced as Ealing Broadway?

Went for Number 9 in the end.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Also, where is the location mentioned in Number 2?

The destination screen would suggest it as such - I guess they announce it as Ealing Broadway to keep all the express passengers off who would get there quicker on the non-stopper.

Quick Google search suggests down under :)

Well, I was gonna vote for the HSt at Newquay but then I saw #16 has 390004 in so 16 gets my vote!

Easily swayed IPT :P

Given that this is yet another one of these increasingly popular competitions that features quite a few good quality entries, I've got a bit of a selection to wittle down to just one final choice:

Number 2: I like the combination of different elements, and the clarity of the image. That's a very weather-worn looking tree!
Number 6: Just oozes atmosphere!
Number 8: A bonny image of the Caley 0-6-0. Well composed.
Number 9: It would appear that Newquays' station is more attractive than much of the rest of the seaside town. The photo is a nice capture of a human aspect as well, and perfectly encapsulates that feeling of a sunny summer Saturday.
Number 13: Perfectly captures the feeling of journeys beginning and ending.
Number 19: It's certainly a different angle! The photo also nicely portrays the soft light of dusk (or perhaps very early morning: It looks like an engineering posession is underway, so it could potentially be either!).

Now I just have to make a decision...

Now this is not easy, not easy at all!

I liked 3, 17, 21 and 09 the most.

But I like the way 22 has been done as well!

Now is to early to make a certain choice, I'll have to think this one over.

I've gone for 21 this week - I love the way this photo shows the elegant side of Paddington station!

Off topic for a moment, but Correct - It is, as you say, to stop the passengers wanting a fast journey into paddington, boarding the stopping service to padd! For a while, i 'think' SWT did the same, announcing some services as Farnbourgh services - when in reality, they did stop at which ever station it was, on their way through to Waterloo...

S Yorks, usually
Thanks AlterEgo and others.
It was the result of boredom on a long hot day sitting by the line at Hoo Junction. Kept staring down the yard, thinking about angles, and eventually saw the shunter trundle up to a suitable point.
I've got to say that the runner-up is my favourite there.

I don't usually get anywhere near the top so I will take 2nd place with a bit of a smile on my face :)

Congrats to the winner though, well deserved and thanks to those who voted.

To answer sprinterguys ealier point about mine, it was taken at dusk. I did have a head on shot at a normalish angle but it also contained the driver peering out of the window at me with a look of "what are you doing?!"
