I''m going for No. 4 = love the composition and subject matter too - the real end of an era as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone know where the photo was taken?

I do also like Number 5, but a non-heat Cl 31 is a bit too specialist to win my vote this time on this subject! Great photo though.

5 wins for me. I would like to ask something; anyone got any idea where 4 would have been? I would ask directly, but er... that would have to wait until Sunday.

With only 6 entries, I'm hoping for a decent result here! And thanks to Jordy for sorting my problem :) [I submitted the wrong shot!]

Windsor & Eton Riverside - Looks good with a VEP in it, shame i didn't find my phots of the 442 tour there, then id have entered those in (The VEPs NOT my phot by the way - None of them are!) :)

And 5 for me too!

I should be in Number 1, but was in front of the guy just in front of the camera, I was on the far left of the row of people in front, having waited 20 minutes to gain my spot...

Yes I have a feeling No. 5 will take the gold medal: I still stand by my choice of No. 4, simply because although 5 is a cracking photo, 4 (to me) is somehow more iconic, being the last and representing something (slam door commuter type stock) which has such strong memories and was the 'sound and image' of rush hour London.

Whoever wins it will be well deserved.

Damn, I was sure my entry of 43002 at Swansea would get at least one vote. Maybe I'll have better luck with POTW517. Whoever won, that was almost a landslide victory!

Well, not quite - he/she didn't even get a majority!

Actually that's a good point! This voting system isn't really democratic at all, I would suggest that we need a forum wide referendum on reforming the POTW voting system. I would propose a choice between FPTP and AV might be a good idea. Shouldn't be to hard to administer surely?

*Hides from Jordy*

Where's the 'Like' button

I know we really need one! There is a another forum I frequent that uses vBulletin and has a like feature so it is possible. Actually just had a look and the other forum uses Version 4.1.2 whilst RailUK uses Version 3.8.6 so perhaps its a feature of the later version and not available on the earlier.

Oh well it's not going to spoil my enjoyment of this site!

There used to be something like that, but it was removed a while back.

That allowed you to like posts? I agree, it would be good to have this option on the forum. We need a referendum as well! ;)
