Gosh some really "arty" shots this week....#9 ....mint sauce IMHO! #6,7 & 8 all very fresh and arty like..........but #6 gets my vote !!

This is one of the most difficult competitions in ages because the subject matter and location of no 2 is really unusual and well taken but number 8 has been executed superbly. Several of the others are worthy contenders too. But because of the quality of the shot, it's number 8 for me.

Number 8 for me this week, only could be betterd by the presence of a train. Question for after voting about number 5. I know the SVR very well and there is no pedestrian crossing that I'm aware of at that end of Bewdley station. A crossing for staff perhaps, but........

Number 8 for definite! What an unusual, original image, I love it.

Number 5 is an impressive shot as concerns capturing the train itself, but I don't think sufficiently fulfils the theme of crossings, and I too am hoping that the photgrapher is either a staff member on the SVR, or had some sort of permit to let them be where they are standing.

I really like number 2 for it's composition and general view of something a bit different, and both 6 and 7 stood out for me as well, but number 8 gets my vote.

Love some of the more artistic shots in the selection, but I just can't pull myself away from 1, maybe swayed by have recently been up there, but its a lovely engine in a lovely location.

Didn't particularly like any of them from the small images but after looking at the larger versions I decided to go for #8

Jordy, in the future, is it possible for you to put the competion subject (in this case Crossings) in the title of the voting thread?

For example, it may appear like this:

I guess it's because I browse normally by hitting 'New posts' which lists all the subjects. And you might forget what competition xxx was all about, click it to find out it's an old one.

Basically what mumrar has said, I have a button at the top of my screen (bookmarks bar) which links directly to the 'Todays Posts' screen, often don't find out what the subject is until I open the gallery.

I guess it's because I browse normally by hitting 'New posts' which lists all the subjects. And you might forget what competition xxx was all about, click it to find out it's an old one.

Congrats to the poster of picture 8 , although I voted for no 2 I still thought that it was a good picture, although I liked no 9 as well

(although I hoping that there is a more modern or MU themed one next week though, its more difficult for me to take pictures of locos when I live in the land of EMUs, lol)
