Number 10, the Retford shot. A fine effort, and representative of the British bond with the railways.

I wonder where number 8 was taken?

Indeed#10 is a fine shot, everything is there that makes for a superb day. # 12 I think I have seen before but worthy second place IMHO.
# 13 gets my vote, a fine spring day and NO "people" in the way......yes I know its a subject devoted to people.....but normal people do get in the way or make themselves unwelcome....except those doing a normal job.
Not a footie fan, sorry!

Two sorts of picture here - those where the picture relies on there being people, and those where they really seem incidental. My choice is No 11, because you can feel exactly what the person is going through, while being a nice shot. Some others ran it close, for me, though.

12 or 13 - both excellent. I always look forward to the non-British entries and this one is no exception. 13 pipped for me slightly, its the only one that doesnt feel 'staged'.

Thanks! What I appreciate more is the comment from one poster that the image enabled them to feel just what the passenger was going through as they trudged down the platform-and that was precisely what I was trying achieve when I took the shot.:)
