I plan to step up my game a bit this week, I have a cracking location lined up
One thing though, rather than start a new thread about it, I've read Mumrar's posts about shutter speed and as I'll only have one shot at this I need to get it right; my camera's relatively new so I still don't know it inside out - is this the ISO setting and if so, higher or lower for faster? I usually just have it on Auto.
The ISO setting is an equivalent to film speed ratings. The lower the number, the more light is needed for a given shutter speed. For example if you shoot on ISO 100 and use 1/500th sec, then on ISO 400 you'd use 1/2000th sec. ISOs of 400 or above are mostly useful for fast paced action and darker lighting (overcast or twilight).
