I was going to go up to Stalybridge tomorrow to try and get a dusk shot of a train with the backdrop of the Pennines but alas, I've got man flu and the weather forecast is abysmal; time to have a rummage through the albums

EDIT: Although it has to be of the railway, it doesn't specifically have to contain a train, does it?

No images should have objects added, moved or removed digitally. Any entries found to have been manipulated in this way will be disqualified. Simple retouching such as cropping, contrast, brightness and saturation, and sharpness is permitted. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your photo being disqualified from the competition and the entrant being banned for 1 competition.

If a photograph is found to have been manipulated in such a way after the competition has closed, the above will still apply.

So no, that is not allowed. Besides it wouldn't be an unelectrified line. Just the same as me entering a photo of a 159 at Basingstoke but not including the track in the photo so you can't see it is 3rd rail.
