Always a popular one, we haven't had a HST competition this year yet so here goes!

Slightly different this year - must be pre 2008

Power car movements are not permitted, the photo must comprise at least one "Class 43" powercar (no, not a Warship ;)) and at least one MK3 coach.

As the gentleman who came up with the theme, you may be interested to know the idea for it came from memories of 43002 at Swansea after working the 2245 PAD - SWA on 4th January 2008. Why I asked for pre-2008 then is because I particularly wanted to see HSTs with Valentas and proper headlight clusters again. Sad perhaps, but I'm curious as to what everyone else captured up to 31st December 2007.

And before you ask, to specify no MTUs would have been a bit unfair. So I'm very curious to see what passed by forum members' lenses.

Anyway, I might be suggesting what to enter here which I don't want. Now I'm off to scour through literally thousands of photos to pick my entry! Have fun choosing your entry everyone!

I'm hoping to see some photos from a 'certain' event of 2007, the one I call The event of 2007. I'll be scowering my phots to get one....:D

If you're thinking of the same event as me, I'm unlikely to submit some from that myself as a) they're on film and b) not very good. :cry: Plus some of them are still in Boots :oops:

I reckon they're bound to feature somewhat, although apart from you and James I know no-one on here who did it.

I've just realised I screwed myself over here, as I don't think I can get away with entering my primary photo of choice, as it was taken at 0235 4th January 2008. D'oh! Off I go to scour the folders on the laptop again...

minette, I'm afraid under the rules that would not be countable. Nice photo though. And it's reminded me to find my video of that monster at Taunton, so that's a good thing!

I've got nothing for this one. My earliest HST shot is Jan 2008. Hopefully next weeks topic will be better for me.

Don't worry I'll enter it anonymously;)

Oops - just remembered - I sent something else instead! Never mind, see what you all think of that one...

I didn't think that pic would be allowed because the coach is quite obviously on another line - nothing to do with the powercar in question. If only I'd known...:D

I might as well mention that I didn't enter my own theme as I have been so busy playing Hellfire via a multiplayer game or 5 this week then I was away for 2 days. I had vowed to enter last night but I was too tired. Then I was going to do it today, but sadly I preferred to finish the book I was reading and didn't realise I hadn't entered until 1950! Mega oops!

minette: Agreed, that's why I said it wouldn't be allowed. I look forward to seeing the entries shortly and voting. I get the feeling I might be looking at each entry more closely than normal!

Well in all fairness you'd not be too far off! Every time I enter I always find the entering of the following theme to be difficult. I always want to put something that will get people scouring through their photos for a winner, but I also quite like the HST rounds so when the opportunity arose I was hardly going to choose owt else!

Anyway, time to get myself over to the voting thread!
