I was afraid that the word architecture and it's meaning may actually get lost in here. Was the desired subject architecture or all forms of railway structures because the definition of architecture is as below:

architecture noun
the art and science of designing and making buildings
Taken from Cambridge Dictionary

What we have entered here actually is civil engineering as below:

civil engineering noun
the planning and building of things not used for worship or war, such as roads, bridges and public buildings

I have no problem with what is entered, however because I checked the meaning first it meant I did not enter one of many bridge/viaduct shots that I could have for fear of being excluded

As i've always said, interpret the theme as you like and if people don't like the photo they won't vote for it!

I don't exclude photos without very good reason! (Eg the subject is a Class 47, but the theme is Class 37s)

I voted for 4 this week, the sharpness & the colours lashing out of the Bland, Concrete Station make it a very nice phot IMHO.

It has gotta be 12 this week as although all were good and I do mean that and I must say 13 is defiantly a cracking shot.
12 though has been taken in the right way as to highlight a important Brunelian piece of design and that was his use of Ironwork on the BTM train shed roof.
Also a decent caption which leads me to believe the person who took this has actually aimed at what im talking about and has taken time to think about the theme in question.
Once again all the shots were defiantly of a good standard but the reasons above has set 12 apart from the others for me.

I've voted for 12, because it marks the work of a fine engineer and visionaries work. It was taken with a view to showing up the theme, whereas some of the shots whilst containing architecture, I do not feel that was the original purpose of the shot.

Well done to all for a good spread and variation, I am only jealous of all the bridge shots entered because I believed these would be excluded and didn't enter one.

I think 11 captured the scene very nicely, and I love the reflection and the use of B+W; although it's a bit strange with the wires up! Still, 11 gets my vote.

I did like the odd angle of 12 though; showed off the train and the trainshed beautifully. And 3 is an interesting shot as well; as my old art teacher would say, the eye wanders all over the photo and it does keep my interest.

I'm going to go for 12 here - I find the angle very captivating, with both the train and the roof following the same curve.

I did like 11 very much too, though - the reflection of the bridge in the water was great!

It was a hard choice this week. Lots captured my imagination. I am breaking with the trend though and I am not going to go with 12. I am going for 7 because for me it just sums up what is a lovely railway shot minus the trains.

I personally decided to vote for 11,it has a great feel to it well composed and with a nice silhouette and reflection to add to it. Must say not many of the others really capture my imagination (mainly due to fact because their of things i don't tend to go for)but must say the signal box is rather nice (forgot the number) and obviously i like my own but wouldn't vote for it because i'd cheat myself!!

I liked 7,10 and 12 this week. All lovely shots each with their own special feature. In the end I went for 12. Like the shot alot, never usually take real notice of the trainshed roof so nice IMO

Number 12 for me too, the low angle of the shot serves to emphasise the curvature of the station so brilliantly designed by the master IKB.

Irrespective of that the curvaure draws the eye into the image .

I like the make-up of No. 14 with the swans in the foreground and then your eye drawn to the box. However No. 1 hits the spot with the landscape taking dominance over the subject. It is taken straight out of the Gifford old-school book of railway photography in the landscape.
